One of Britain’s top stand-up comedians,
Bill Bailey
returns to Australia
with his new show: Bill Bailey Live!
Expect a magical
musical, mystery tour through a human history filled with doubt, to a place
where certainty reigns and where religion, death, egg-custard, twigs and
Giant African Land Snails are here to stay….
Voted the
seventh greatest stand-up comedian of all time on Channel 4 (UK) in
2007,
Bill is best known in this country for his role in the ABC comedy series “Black
Books” as the
now-legendary beardy weirdo
Manny Bianco, long suffering book shop assistant
to Bernard Black (Dylan Moran).
Bill has also starred in ABC 2’s cult comedy “Spaced”,
as well as the TV show “Never Mind The
Buzzcocks” (which inspired Australia’s Spicks and Specks) and appeared
in Pegg and Wright's 2007 film “Hot
Fuzz”. Most recently, he had a role in the children’s movie
“Nanny McPhee: and the Big Bang”.
Not only a brilliant comic, but also an accomplished
musician, Bill takes his audience on the most unusual yet hilarious journeys
through his curious and quirky perspectives on life.
